DD 2012: Dec 2nd

Day 2! I just finished Day 3 – I am not in love with it; it may change but it’s in the book so probably not. I do have pictures printed & in the sleeves thru yesterday – so I am calling that a win!

Day 2…. The left side page had 2 versions – sometimes you just gotta rip it apart and start over. I didn’t completely rip apart, but I did take off the Lego box picture, reprint & add some more goodies.

Here is a before & after close-up of the left side.

I printed all of my pictures & really thought that I wanted a full 4×6 box picture. Turns out it was completely overpowering – I tried adding some washi to the edges…. that didn’t work either. Just a disaster.

A MUCH smaller picture, a new background (that is just one layer – from the My Mind’s Eye Accessories Pad); a stamped date & different washi tape. SO much better! I love it now.

As for the day – I wanted at some point to include the Lego Advent calendar (Star Wars for us this year). Andy is having a great time with it & it is helping a ‘bit’ with the “How long until Christmas?” constant questioning.

We also hit up the mall & tried to have Andy shop with each of us separately. I succeeded – while Dad was trying on clothes – but Andy spilled the beans in the car on the way home. When Kevin had him they would pick out something & Andy would run to find me to show it to me so they ended up with nothing…. well they did get a Vanellope von Schweetz “nap toy” (she is a character in Wreck-It Ralph).

I added in an Ali Edwards Father’s Day themed stamp on this page – so much of both sides were related to Dad it just seemed right.
