I have finished the entire book! YEA! Kevin still has to journal a bit in a few spots so they will be bare, but in general – it’s all finished. I will be uploading & discussing a few days at a time. First up is the Title Page.
I used my own handwriting & my Cameo to create the “December Daily” title. I may do a quick video of just how to go about this someday, but at this point I don’t have the right software (yet). The swirl & stocking are from the Bo Bunny kit.
You can see along the edge that I made tabs for each day. I used a Stampin’ Up! punch & the Bo Bunny paper to create these. To attach them I grabbed my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
As I go through the book you’ll see I eventually get my mojo down & have a good system. For the first few days I was definitely feeling it out. I documented a normal Thursday for us. We started the Lego City Advent Calendar today & also made muffins for breakfast – YUM! I LOVE that at barely 3 years old my little guy can make me a cup of coffee with our Nespresso Pixie and he can steam the milk for a hot chocolate for himself! No worries – we use a Nespresso Aeroccino so he’s never exposed to the steaming milk like a normal cappuccino machine.
This is the second half of Day 1. I didn’t have picture that I wanted to add into the photo sleeves so I just added in some Bo Bunny card stock etc. The picture on the right is from Trader Joe’s (love their little carts).
For the Day Titles (#1 in the bottom right) I used Bazzill Bling paper (I think it was Black Tie) & my Cameo.
On the 2nd we headed to Crown Center to see Santa Clause with our friends Monika & Melissa & their kiddos. We’ve been talking about Santa for quite a while and I was really hoping that would help him to be able to sit on Santa’s lap. It sure did! He’s been telling us he was going to ask Santa for “Race cars & a race track” for weeks now…. and then he got there & asked for a “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”!? What!? Again I just added in some of the Bo Bunny paper to fill the extra photo slot.
I love that Andy has friends now – and it’s so sweet to watch these two when they first see each other someplace – of course they start tackling each other after about 20 seconds, but that’s 3 yr old boys I guess.
Andy started crying as soon as we got in the car to leave – it took me a minute to decipher his howling to understand he was saying “BUT I don’t have my Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!!” He thought Santa would give it to him before he left. I explained that Santa would take his request back to the elves tonight & they would start working on it for him.
I used some Bo Bunny paper & the letters that came with the 12×12 kit to write “so sad”. Photo corners are also from the Bo Bunny sticker sheet. The Naughty or Nice sticker is from Echo Park.
In the pocket I included a few receipts from the 1st & 2nd combined (later I started just using these for one day – but my initial plan was to share 1 folder for 2 days – I just didn’t need them that often.
