A post…. hey a post! No pictures this time though (is that legal)? Sometimes I think the pictures keep me from posting – even though I love taking pictures – it just adds enough “extra” time that I end up not getting a post written.
So here’s today’s thought. I put this up on facebook on my page wall & in my chat group (hey come like & join both please!)
What are your plans for 2015? Mine is to actually pull out some paper, maybe finish baby albums. For yearly documenting I am just taking pictures at this point…. trying to be intentional about capturing memories, posting to instagram/flickr/facebook with comments so that someday I have that “journaling” to go by.
I have seen a few scrapbookers who were hard core Project Lifers abandon it this year! I think what’s happening to them is they are designers, scrapbookers who liked the simplicity of PL, but ended up just designing very detailed pocket images/pages! That’s more work than they were doing before! Several are shifting to a monthly layout in various forms. I still like the PL concept for those who can stick to the kits…. I have always had a hard time with that & tend to add alot to mine…. thus never finishing!/

It’s nearly December 2012! Time to finish sharing my 2011 December Daily. It has been finished & sitting on my mantle for most of the year. I had fun walking my mother-in-law through it when they were in town recently. She had seen most of the pictures, but seeing them with the stories attached is different. I wish I had more photos & stories from my childhood. I hope Andy enjoys these when he is older. He is still little enough that looking at “old” pictures is great fun!

I have started working on my 2012 foundation pages for December Daily…. I will be posting up the remainder of last year’s pages in the next week – so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, here is a peak at my titles for the foundation pages. I am printing them on 2 8.5×11 sheets, cutting apart & then I will adhere on each page either at the top-middle-bottom depending on how I feel; pictures; stories that day. I know Ali Edwards tends to get her pages 100% ready for the month before starting but I really need the day to happen before I can get a feel for each page. I have some product set aside & the books ready.

Project Life that is!
I do have a few more December Daily posts to write up & post, but meanwhile I am trying to stay caught up (or nearly so) with my 2012 Project Life. I’m mapping out Week 4-7 this week. So far I have lots of pictures picked, cropped & enhanced. I need to pick which I am using, resize to print & add journaling to a few. Plus of course the rest of the page design.

The hardest night & saddest day in December, but by far one of my favorite & definitely my favorite page in the book! It’s funny how the hardest things can make the best memories.

I have finished the entire book! YEA! Kevin still has to journal a bit in a few spots so they will be bare, but in general – it’s all finished. I will be uploading & discussing a few days at a time. First up is the Title Page.

Ok – I know I haven’t really been keeping this blog up. New year… new plans…. hoping to have time to keep it up.
I have been following a few new-to-me blogs in the last year. I started reading Ali Edwards blog about a year ago. At the time she was creating a December Daily album. LOVED the idea but at the time with a 2 year old who didn’t really “get” Christmas yet it just didn’t feel like the right time. Now Andy is 3 and it felt like a great time to document our holiday.
