This is a new creation of mine! I used a few sites for ideas/insrpiration. They includeCherry Berry Baby and Barefoot and Pregnant, Esquire.

Being on kid #2 and being smarter but also on the go more I have found myself interested in carrying Sam around instead of using a stroller everywhere (because there are places where strollers just don’t go or don’t go easily). I started out with an Ergo and a loaner ring sling (thank you Monika!). I liked both at first.
The Ergo started to both my back once Sam hit about 15# though & the ring sling was a loaner and unless you are VERY capable with it, you shouldn’t really back carry.
So I got into baby wrapping. The beauty of a wrap is that they are super flexible. The downside is they aren’t very intuitive – just a large length of woven fabric really. Alot of moms have probably tried out a Moby wrap – very similar but longer & stretchier than a woven. Woven wraps can carry kids… not just babies – KIDS! I got two different lengths for Mother’s Day & found I liked each for different things… but my longer “rainbow” wrap had a hem flaw. The manufacturer (Little Frog in Poland) was AWESOME and replaced it leaving me with the “flawed” wrap. So I set out to make a DIY creation with it.

A bit about me – I am a believer in eating clean, whole foods etc. (doesn’t mean I do it), but I am not a hard core crunchy mama. I don’t do organic, I use regular detergent & (until recently-that’s another story) cleaning products, I didn’t know what an amber necklace was until a week ago & I doubt I would know one if I saw one!
For you crunchy mamas out there – good for you! I just don’t have the energy because it’s not my thing that I am passionate about (how would I find time to scrapbook or quilt).

… ok it’s been 2.5 weeks, but I was on top of this picture being 1 week difference! And can I just say WOAH… I know this is supposedly “natural”, but sometimes it just seems so UNnatural!

I had grand plans at the end of 2012 to really do alot of blogging & crafting & sharing of projects in 2013. And then as we were nearing the “throw in the towel” point in having a 2nd kiddo it happened! I would like to say I just went on with doing everything I wanted to, but I didn’t. Now I am nearing the end & reflecting back, wondering what life will be like with 2 kids, what a newborn will do to my daily routines etc. If there was ever a time to start up a new routine – now is it – because a new one will start one way or the other right?
These pictures were taken by the same photographer we have had take all of Andy’s picture to date – Lea Murphy. She does GREAT work & we had so much fun going in for belly pictures – which we didn’t do when I was pregnant with Andy! I have a few more to share at the end of the post. Another preview of a UFO…. an UnFinished Object in quilters terms… Pretty sure we can use the same concept as scrappers!

I can’t resist sharing a few recent projects with you.
First, this is a card that I made for a friend who is in hospice and also a fellow card maker.
Next are a few recent digital scrapbook pages that I have made for myself – these are the start of my new son Andy’s baby album (well one of his albums anyway). 🙂
