2 months out & I have ‘finished’ the Disney autograph book! I put finished in quotes because I had some embellishments for the main Disney character pages, but not for all of the other guys. I may find some & add them along the way, but Andy is super happy with just the pictures & autographs.
When we were at Disney Andy had a small plain Disney-themed autograph book that our travel agent gave him. He LOVED it! We did quite a few character dinners, but spent most of our time around the parks “looking for my Disney friends”. Andy wasn’t much into the rides and all of the other standard Disney stuff – he was much more interested in meeting the characters (who are 100% REAL to him at 4).
For the book I used an 8×8 album that I found while on vacation last summer. We were traveling through Sioux Falls, SD & there is a store that I try to stop at when we break for lunch on our way through (R Scrapbook Store). I loved how it wasn’t a “standard” Disney theme – no bright red, yellow, black. We hadn’t solidified Disney travel plans yet, but I knew it was somewhere in our future. The brand is SandyLion, but I can’t actually find the book online anywhere – must be an older pattern.
For the title page I used the title page from his small book where he had signed his own name. For later pages I stuck to the signature (best one in cases where we had multiple visits with the same character) & the best picture.
I didn’t put the pictures in order taken – I put them in groups by theme & put more “Disney”-esque themes first (Mickey/Minnie were the very first obviously). Here is a sampling of some of the later pages.
And yes – I included the characters we met at Universal Studios too.
I love how in nearly every picture he is giving the character a great big HUG! He had so much fun!
For pictures I used my new Canon Selphy CP900 & it was AWESOME! I printed 2 photos per 4×6 print and all turned out wonderful!
